Promotion

Lately, besides working on my Christmas album, I've been trying to promote myself online like a mad man. I'm trying to get my name out there so maybe I could start selling something. I have music, ringtones, clothing and other merchandise.

Now, I'm not making music just for money, I make it for myself and my family mainly. I make it just to listen to and enjoy, but it'd be nice to make a little extra something so I can upgrade my equipment and such.

So if anyone has any ideas on promotion that are free or extremely cheap (I'm on an extremely tight budget), please let me know. Hypothyptica's Email

1 Song Down!

I finally finished one of the songs for my Christmas album; "Pat-a-pan".

I'm not going to post it anywhere yet. I'm going to wait until around Thanksgiving to do so. Hopefully by then I'll have more songs off the album done as well.

Lyrics Needed!

So, no matter how hard I try, I can never write lyrics better than a 2nd-grade poem about boogers...

And my personal efforts to squeeze decent lyrics out of my friends has become fruitless and exhausting, except for a select few.

Therefore I'm calling on all MySpacers, bloggers, readers, anyone for help! I need lyrics for about a 4-5 minute song. It doesn't necessarily need a verse, chorus and bridge like generic songs do. If it's all one long, story-telling verse, that's okay. I will then choose whose lyrics I will use in new songs. I might change the order of the lyrics to fit the music better, but not the lyrics themselves.

Any lyrics will do as long as they meet this criteria:

no foul language

no sexual innuendos or worse

nothing illegal (car jackings, shooting sprees, rape, etc.)

nothing too "emo" (everybody hates me, I'm alone, etc.)

Pretty much something you can have your grandmother listen to on Easter Sunday with the Pope by her side without wetting her Depends.

Christmas Album

So, lately I've been taking a small break from working on my normal stuff and am working on a Christmas album that will (very hopefully) be ready to release this Christmas (2008).

So far, the songs I have chosen to do include:
